Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a blessed holiday season with family and friends.  Winter is certainly here in CNY isn't it.   We are two weeks away from the start of our First Sacramental Prep Class on January 20 from 9:00-10:30 downstairs in the church.  I will have more information next week about procedures etc. to keep your child safe and everything running smoothly. (If you need further information on dates and times etc. please go to the parish website under the Sacraments Tab--Holy Eucharist) I have been busy getting things prepared for this First Session. The other teachers and I will meet this week.  Our goal is for this to be meaningful for your child.  Hopefully the beginning of a lifelong relationship with our Lord---not just an event. It was felt when planning with Father Chris, that the attendance of Mass is an essential part of developing that relationship.  We thank you so much for your support and cooperation in helping your child be at Mass each week.  You are and always will be your child's first teacher and role model.  We are here at St. Rose, to help and support.  Before they come on January 20th, I would ask that your child watch these two Super Book episodes on Creation and The Ten Commandments.  This will give them some really good reference and background when we start discussing things.  Please try and fit it in the next two weeks before we meet.  I hope you have a great week and are able to find some of God's Blessings along the way.
