To begin our preparation for the Sacrament of First Communion we are first, looking at the Mass. As we know, the Holy Eucharist is at the heart of the Mass. So, understanding what is happening at the Mass gives everyone a better understanding and connection of what will be happening in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. (If your child has not seen the Super Book Episode on the Last Supper, please go back to last week's Blog Post and let them view it. Other students have found it helpful.) We can see with this group having the advantage of regular mass attendance, there is already a better understanding of what is happening. I have attached to this week's Blog Post a really short (10min) video by Juice Box with Father Tim explaining what is happening during the Mass. We all know our children from time to time will ask questions that we may find difficult to answer---especially regarding what is happening during Mass. So, the second video is for you to view to help answer questions your child may ask, or you may have always be wondering about the Mass. Father Scott Bailey, from a church in Denver, Colorado goes through step-by-step of what happens and why during mass.
