I have never had this happen before. I have used this service for over 5 years to produce websites, blogs etc. Never have I had this happen---the whole blog was erased. I have spent a good chunk of time with WIX trying to figure it out. Neither of us have come up with an answer yet. Then I thought that maybe this is a higher power intervening so I should change course a little this week. I am going to try and be very brief and direct. I have been becoming more familiar with the Catholic Faith on Demand Channel FORMED. St. Rose has paid for the subscription. It is free to all of us you just go to the website to obtain access. (There are more detailed directions in the October 15 Blog Post.) I say this because I am offering a great video this week from the Brother Francis Series on The Mass. It goes through and gives a very child friendly explanation on each part of the mass and its meaning. It's about 25 minutes long. It may be something that you sit down together and watch. I know if you have Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Fire TV or Roku you can put FORMED on there...or a tablet etc. I have attached the clip of the episode available on YouTube.
While looking through the site I also found a couple of things in regard to Advent. One was an Advent Calendar showing what is available on Formed categorized by children, adult and Family. I have included a download of that here because I thought some of the offerings could be interesting and helpful. The other is a little Advent Series on the Jesse Tree called Rooted: Rediscover the Jesse Tree this Advent which has twenty-two 5-7 min episodes on Jesus's Family Tree. You have to sign-up at the site, and I believe they send reminders to your inbox. There is a little video clip about it. It sounded interesting and an uncomplicated way to do something meaningful this advent. This is a series intended for adults. I thought it could support family efforts of trying a Jesse Tree or be a prep for those thinking about doing it in the future. All your efforts are appreciated in supporting your children's preparation for the First Sacraments. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. I have gotten in the last couple weeks snap shots of church bulletin's, church buildings etc. Thank you for those things and letting us know because it allows us to check your child off as having attended mass for that week. Have a great week and may you find some of God's Blessings along the way.
